Every employer has a duty to protect the hearing of his/her employees. Indeed, many organisations need to actively manage noise issues – be they complaints from employees and/or neighbours. In addition, legislation on noise at work has been amended in recent years and new regulations and standards on environmental noise have also evolved.
In order to make effective decisions about their duties and responsibilities many companies will need to take guidance and advice. It is imperative that this advice is reliable and competent.
